We are a research group led by Dr. Khabat Heshami at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and the University of Ottawa. Our work spans quantum computing, photonics, quantum metrology, quantum machine learning, and quantum communication, with a focus on developing approaches that bring quantum technologies closer to real-world applications. From advancing the foundations of quantum networks and light–matter interfaces to designing novel algorithms for quantum-enhanced AI, we combine theory, simulation, and experiment to push the boundaries of what is possible in quantum science. Based in Ottawa, our group collaborates with academic, industry, and international partners, training the next generation of quantum researchers while tackling some of the most pressing challenges in quantum technology.
